Job description
At North Spore we want to make the world of mushrooms accessible to everyone, and we’re looking for a Production Assistant to help us realize our vision.
About the Position:
North Spore is seeking a full-time production worker at our indoor manufacturing facility in Westbrook, Maine.
The job includes a lot of repetitive manual labor, lifting up to 50 lbs, getting sawdust, grain, and manure on your shoes - great for those familiar with the pleasures of agricultural work or those with previous manufacturing experience!
We all work hard all day but we also like to have fun, listen to good music, keep clever company, and get stuff done. Pay starts at $18/hr a $2.50/hr shift differential increase for the Saturday work. There is a probationary period of 60 days for the position. Simple IRA retirement benefits provided without any match requirement. 1 week sick PTO plus 1 week Vacation PTO earned in your first year, with more vacation as you stay with our team (2 weeks second year, 3 weeks third and onwards).
We are hiring for Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm & Wed-Sat 7am-5:30pm. The job is full time and year round.
