Chaseholm Farm, a queer/women-run grass-fed dairy and beef operation in Pine Plains NY, is looking for a full time farm sales manager. The position includes maintaining and promoting our primary sales outlets: an on-farm self-serve store, an off-site farmshare program and a small number of wholesale accounts for yogurt and beef. Interested candidates should enjoy creating and adapting organizational systems for product inventory and supply, “front of house” type customer interactions (including an interest in learning and sharing about farm practices), and creating dynamic and inviting physical and online sales spaces (we’d love your support in making both the farm store and perhaps even our social media cute!). 

 

This job is farm-adjacent with a need for the physical capacity to work outdoors in most weather, lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for several hours. One day most weeks will include driving a van to distribute CSA shares to partner locations. Other on-farm physical tasks include bottling milk, inventory and organization of the walk-in freezer and cooler. Online tasks include maintaining sales inventory spreadsheets, receiving and adjusting CSA orders per customer feedback, and maintaining milk bottling records. 

 

Perks include being part of a sweet and dedicated farm team that takes care of the animals, land and each other, some flexibility to schedule work around life needs, farm credit for Chaseholm groceries, time outside on the land and a balance between physical and desk-type work, interacting with a customer base that is mostly kind, enthusiastic and community oriented. Pay is $18-22 an hour based on experience. Housing in a shared house in Pine Plains is available if needed. Preferred schedule is Tues-Saturday on the farm in Pine Plains.
