Company description
Located in Ashland, Oregon majestic oak meadow hillside minutes to downtown resides a 28 acre, off grid + solar powered small fruit, produce + meat farm.
We are UPROOT!
Our primary focus has been on sustainably raised, slow grown heritage pork + chicken for over 10 years. This last growing season we have integrated permaculture designed produce to our existing meat production.
Our expansion includes fruits, nuts vegetables, flowers from our perennial garden + tree orchard along with dairy goats within our dope off grid food forest + culinary offerings to the Rogue Valley.
This is an amazing opportunity to live in one of the most beautiful and unique communities in the country. We are offering a full time, long term employment and housing opportunity on our private, tranquil hillside acreage with vast outdoor space to explore + enjoy breath taking valley views + solitude.
We are a drug free farm but respect occasional drama free alcohol consumption. We do have allergies to cigarette smoke so tobacco use is not ideal on the farm.
Our focus is on creating the highest quality nutrient dense proteins for local chefs, consumers + retailers. Our farm includes the introduction of a 30 count dairy goat operation along with the clean up + seed crew of heritage pigs and chickens rotationally grazed + seasonally raised meats. We believe in bringing together people of different ages, background, and experiences through our small scale food production + preservation to create a diverse, ever learning + sustainable farm community.
