Job Title: Restaurant Manager (Hourly Basis Leading to Full-Time Employment)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead our Berkeley location. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement, ensuring smooth daily operations, and setting the foundation for the success of Thayirsadam. The initial employment will be on an hourly basis for 3 months, transitioning to a full-time position based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
Build a welcoming and energetic atmosphere that resonates with our target audience (primarily university students).
Ensure top-notch customer service and address complaints or concerns promptly.
Promote the customizable nature of Thayirsadam dishes to educate and excite customers about our offerings.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are met and maintain a clean, organized restaurant environment.
Optimize processes to improve efficiency during peak hours.
Marketing and Sales
Collaborate with the management to execute local outreach campaigns targeting students and residents.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and propose strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
Actively engage with the local community to establish Thayirsadam as a go-to dining destination.
Team Leadership
Train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality service.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that aligns with our brand values.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years in restaurant management or a similar role, preferably in the quick-service industry.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with inventory management, scheduling, and customer service best practices.
Education:
Min High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
Personality:
A passion for food and hospitality, with the ability to connect with a young, health-conscious audience.
