A bit about us: We’re a specialty cheese shop, with a café component. We push out an awesome little lunch menu with a cult like following that changes weekly. We follow the seasons and embrace our local farms. We do it all in-house - if we need a stock, we make it. And we have a micro bakery within the shop for all things sourdough.
Job description
We're looking for an immediate hire as our lovely baker is moving out of town. So we are looking for someone to join us to be part of a professional, supportive team that is building something exciting in the heart of the Rosemary District. You will be responsible for morning bakery production of our sourdough breads, as well as other baked goods. We have a bread oven and started our bakery program a year ago.
We use organic flours, and make 3 different loaves, a daily focaccia, and sourdough cookies, etc.
You must understand fermentation, and all manner of sourdough production. You must be organized, creative, and precise. This is a relatively new position. Bring your ideas.
If you understand fermentation, then you might also want to help us with our pickle and pantry program as well.
