Company description
Mad Radish Farm is a small organic vegetable and pastured poultry farm located in York County, PA. Our vegetables are the main focus of our farm, growing for our 150+ member CSA, farmers markets and wholesale accounts. We also raise pastured chicken & eggs and have plans to expand our livestock operation in the future, starting with goats and sheep. Diversification is very important to our overall values and mission. We aim to grow nutritious food for our community, using organic and low till growing methods. We believe that healthy food starts with healthy soil, so our main focus through all of our day to day operations is soil health. We use organic compost, leaf mulch, and cover cropping to prevent soil loss and build organic matter in our permanent vegetable beds. Most of what we do is centered around vegetable work, including seeding in the greenhouse, bed preparation, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing, packing and finally, selling!
