Pink Moon Farm is a diversified 24 acre farm located in Eatonville, Washington. We are in our sixth year of growing vegetables, raising sheep and laying hens. The farm is run using sustainable practices—we are Certified Naturally Grown, a certification that ensures we use practices that align with organic certification. Whenever possible we combine animal and vegetable production to increase soil health.
In 2025, Pink Moon’s production will include approximately 3 acres of mixed vegetables, a flock of laying hens, and Icelandic Sheep. We also have several high tunnels for hot crop and season extension practices.
Pink Moon sells at farmers market in Seattle and Tacoma and several wholesale accounts. We are committed to producing quality food, at an affordable cost for our communities. Job description
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have at least one season of farming experience, however we’re happy to work with folks who are new to farming. This position includes a mix of field work (animal chores, weeding, planting, seeding, trellising, setting up irrigation), harvesting and packing product. Folks who have been successful with us in the past are direct communicators, have a positive attitude, strong ability to focus on tasks, an eye for efficiency and enjoy working outside.
What You’ll Get
Alongside formal compensation, all employees have access to vegetables, and plant starts throughout the season. Vegetables are available in a staff bin in the walk-in weekly after market and self-harvest depending on availability. Being young farmers ourselves, we’re happy to loan tools, provide support, and connect you with other farms. We’re a tight-knit and fun crew—we love to work hard, blast music, and produce the best food we can.
Expected Duties:
• Basic field work; weeding, seeding, transplanting, operating long and small handled tools
• Harvest 100+ different varieties of vegetables according to farm practices
• Assist with washing and packing vegetables
• Independently work on assigned tasks according to farm standards
• Communicate with farm team and manager about potential problems
• Assist in feeding animals; including dogs, layers, and sheep when necessary
• Support with infrastructure and repair projects as needed
• Safely operate farm small engine equipment with training and support from Farm Manager (weed whacker, walk behind tiller)

• Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights including bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement
• Basic math skills including arithmetic, ability to perform and interpret basic calculations related to count, weight, time, rate and distance
• Tolerate working in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
Expected Hours & Compensation:
Pay ranges from $17.50/hr to $19.50/hr DOE with paydays twice per month. Paid sick leave is accrued at one hour for every forty hours worked. Evaluations will be conducted every 30 days, with performance and cost of living based raises will be assessed every 90 days. After 30 days, paid vacation will be available to all full time (4 days/week minimum) staff, and a $150 gear stipend. Performance bonuses will be assessed at the end of the season.
We will prioritize applicants who can work 4 days a week (Wednesday through Saturday) from April until end of November. We can be flexible with schedules worked depending on the candidate. There may be opportunities to extend employment past November.

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $17.00 - $19.00
