Job description

Il Leone is seeking a Kitchen Manager and Pizzaiolo/a for our 2025 season lasting from approximately Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend. Compensation includes a generous base salary + profit sharing end of season bonus, as well as access to unique, affordable housing on Peaks Island throughout the summer season if needed.

Responsibilities include working the wood fired pizza oven (experience a plus but not required for the right candidate), stretching/topping pizzas; overseeing quality control and food safety throughout the operation; managing line/kitchen staff duties; overseeing and assisting with daily prep; overseeing and helping with daily setup/cleanup; ordering and maintaining food and beverage inventory; managing/maintaining the weekly staff schedule and more!

Pizza experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate if there is a passion and desire to learn our style of pizza making (Chef/owner will provide training in our style of pizza and all necessary support to get the right candidate up to speed).

Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant operation and commercial kitchen environment is required.

Compensation
