Growth Intern – Salt + Spine Podcast

Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months, with opportunity to extend for 3 months
Commitment: 5-10 hours per week
Compensation: Monthly $500 stipend

About Salt + Spine
Salt + Spine is the leading podcast on cookbooks and the authors behind them. Through in-depth interviews, live events, and exclusive content, we bring cookbooks to life. We're looking for a motivated Growth Intern to help expand our audience, deepen listener engagement, and drive strategic partnerships.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to grow our podcast audience.
• Optimize content distribution across platforms (social media, newsletters, website, etc.).
• Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with food media outlets, influencers, and brands.
• Analyze data and engagement metrics to inform growth strategies.
• Brainstorm and support the execution of community-building initiatives.
• Contribute creative ideas for content, campaigns, and listener engagement.

Who You Are

• Passionate about food media, storytelling, and podcasting.
• Eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in audience growth and digital marketing.
• Familiar with social media platforms, email marketing, and content promotion.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Excellent communicator with strong writing skills.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in journalism, content production, or social media management.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
• Familiarity with podcasting platforms and analytics.
