Job Summary:
Assisting in food ordering, receiving, and storage while ensuring the availability and cleanliness of items needed for menu production and daily operations.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: May through October 2025 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $16.35/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assist Restaurant Chef, F&B Managers, and Sous Chef in all food ordering, receiving, returns, and storage areas.
- Ensure that items needed to produce menu items in all outlets are available and in a ready-to-use form.
- Ensure that items needed to perform daily operational procedures are available.
- Produce, distribute, and file all necessary documents to support the receiving, storing, transferrin,g or returning of items used in the operation.
- Communicate with the Food & Beverage management team any discrepancies in the order and follow the correct procedure for zeroed items from the location warehouse or Vendors.
- Establish and maintain order in all walk-in coolers, freezers, dry storage areas, and food and non-food storage areas, including following up after other staff and removal of empty containers.
- Responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the dry storage areas and walk-ins immediately following the receiving and storing of all items in those mentioned areas.
- Rotate products in all areas to represent a First In, First Out philosophy of product usage.
- Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Other related assignments as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of all products used to include: how to handle, how and where to store, and how long it will last.
- Working knowledge of administrative duties including the use of production records and par sheets, inventory procedures, and ordering procedures.
- Previous experience and understanding of high-volume kitchen or warehouse operations preferred.
- Requires computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Cloud Suite.
- Being able to remain calm in a high stress environment is essential for these positions.
Physical Requirements include:
- Must stand for long periods, approximately 8 hours.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
- Must lift and carry a minimum of 70 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods.
- Must work in differing environments; i.e., cold freezers, hot prep areas, and outside areas.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
