While sandwiches are our #1, we will offer a variety of breakfast & lunch options. We also offer a coffee program, beer & wine, lots of drinks, snacks & a selection of basic groceries & produce. Club Sandwich in Tivoli, NY is seeking line cooks to join our opening team!
We are a casual, counter-service operation with food made to order, as well as a small grab-and-go prepared food program. While not a formal restaurant, we come from restaurant backgrounds and are passionate about (obsessed with?!) food and hospitality.
The ideal candidate has some experience in professional cooking, and understands the basics of working in a clean & respectful kitchen. You will be responsible for some prep as well as cooking on the line during service. There will be multiple shift times, but expect morning to afternoon hours.
We are looking for someone who is excited about food and cooking! We will have a regular breakfast and lunch menu, but will also offer fun, rotating specials.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- executing your prep list and menu items consistently and efficiently according to standards and recipes set by management
- maintaining a clean and safe work station, in compliance with food safety regulations
- assisting with overall organization and cleanliness of the kitchen
- assisting management with making a daily staff meal
- practicing good communication with you coworkers, management and customers
QUALIFICATIONS REQUESTED:
- Some experience in a professional kitchen
- Excitement & interest in food & cooking
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to accept & give constructive feedback
- Ability to regularly stand for extended periods & lift up to 40 lbs

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
