Job Title: Part-Time Mushroom Grower

Location: Bonsall, North County San Diego, CA

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Mushroom Grower to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in mycology and sustainable agriculture, with the ability to manage various aspects of mushroom cultivation. This role is perfect for individuals looking to contribute to a growing industry on a flexible, part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor all phases of mushroom cultivation, from substrate preparation to harvesting.
• Adjust and control environmental factors to ensure optimal growth conditions.
• Identify and address any pest or disease issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of cultivation processes and yields.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent product quality and supply.
• Ensure all cultivation areas are clean and meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mushroom farming or a related agricultural field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical capability to perform tasks that include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Because our business location is only accessible via car, we only recommend that applicants with access to a vehicle apply.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position: 2 to 3 days per week.
• Shifts of 4 to 6 hours per day, with flexibility based on operational needs.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage starting at $21 per hour, commensurate with experience.
