We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sourcing Manager to oversee our sourcing department and supply chain logistics. This senior leadership role will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality standards across our supply chain. The Sourcing Manager will play a critical role in scaling our operations while maintaining our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure operational efficiency through ebbs and flows in demand. KPIs reflecting these strategies will be: Out of Stock rates, Quality complaints, Gross margins on food & packaging costs, among others.
- Oversee procurement processes, building and maintaining relationships with local farmers, producers, and suppliers. Execute supplier engagement plans based on category strategy including crop planning with local and regional farmers on a seasonal basis.
- Negotiate contracts and managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that the buying team maintains appropriate margins and competitive pricing.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate forecasting and demand planning. Industry best in stock levels should be maintained, while ensuring that day production does not run short on products.
- Participate in developing annual budgets for categories of responsibility. These budgets provide the baseline for the purchase price variance (PPV) throughout the year and help in determining company profitability.
- Optimize logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound freight
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, which is composed of buyers, receivers, and leadership warehouse staff
- Collaborate with other departments to align supply chain operations with overall business objectives
- Analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Work strategically with the Marketing Team, assisting in curating relevant mission-driven online content & categories
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and sustainability standards

About You
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the food or grocery industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management
- Commitment to regenerative farming, sustainability, local sourcing, delivering the highest quality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
