Job description
We are looking for a part-time cheesemaker (30-35 hours per week) at our family-owned, certified organic, grass-fed, net-zero creamery located in Middlebury. Applicants must be reliable, have attention to detail, have reliable transportation, be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding setting. Tuesday through Saturday shifts required with some flexibility. Some prior food production experience is ideal. Offering competitive wages, retirement savings plan and some paid time off.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain cheese-making equipment to ensure optimal production quality.
Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Monitor food processing stages to ensure compliance with HACCP and CGMP standards.
Assist in packaging finished products while adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to optimize food production processes and resolve mechanical issues.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to uphold high sanitation standards.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
