Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Receiver to join our growing receiving department. This role will be responsible for receiving inbound deliveries, inventory management, logistics, invoice & purchase order reconciliation, some staff management, as well as placing some purchase orders and approving invoices for submission. The receiver will play a critical role in scaling our operations while maintaining our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

Your main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Open warehouse gates, prepare the receiving area, and review daily delivery schedules.
• Check in products, confirm quality and shelf life, and ensure quantities match purchase orders.
• Enter receiving data into our ERP system, scan invoices, and flag any shortages or quality issues.
• Keep the receiving area clean and organized; follow all food safety protocols.
• Support the buying team with inventory tasks, invoicing, and creating purchase orders.
• Audit our invoices & purchase orders to ensure cost controls.
• Help with product setup and inventory counts during downtime.
• Spearhead processes improvements & implementations to ensure highest quality standards are upheld.
• Manage staff to expedite restocking and backfilling orders from Just in Time deliveries.

Schedule

Monday to Friday 5AM to 1:30PM.

This position starts as hourly paid $20 - $25 / hour depending on experience.

Who you are

Applicants must have:

• At least 2+ years of experience in a receiving role.
• At least 2+ years of experience working with produce.
  Ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency on Google Sheets, Slack, and Gmail.
• Be in great physical shape, with ability to lift 40lb boxes.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
