This key team member serves as the public face of our events—especially in the absence of our founder, Jim Denevan—and plays a pivotal role in shaping guest experience and managing event flow.
The Role: Host
Our Host must be extroverted, confident, and connected to our mission, able to tell the story of the farms, chefs, and producers we partner with in an engaging and meaningful way. You'll welcome guests, lead opening remarks for 150+ attendees, and ensure smooth transitions throughout the event, from reception through service and farm tours.
This role works in close collaboration with farmers, chefs, photographers, and fellow crew members to deliver seamless events that align with our high standards. You'll also serve as the on-site liaison for Guest Relations and content teams, managing special requests, directing on-site photographers, and gathering important event notes.

Deliver compelling opening remarks to ~150 guests at each event
Coordinate with the farmer on farm tour timing, route, and integration into event flow

Support guest seating and maintain a smooth, welcoming environment during service
Manage on-site photographers and press guests; ensure coverage aligns with brand vision
Collect site notes and guest feedback to contribute to our event database
Foster relationships with VIP and returning guests
Manage Lost & Found inventory and ensure proper guest follow-up
Assist with trailer load-in/load-out
Key Qualities & Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in team or event management
Minimum 3 years of content creation or brand storytelling experience
Confident public speaker; comfortable addressing large groups
Strong copywriting and communication skills
Friendly, welcoming, and highly organized
Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, or similar tools
Able to drive a truck and willing to learn trailer towing
CPR or BLS Certification is a plus
Additional Details
Tour Crew members must be available for the full tour season (May–November) and be comfortable with extensive travel and limited personal downtime. Our days are long (typically 12+ hours) and include setup, service, and breakdown. This is physically demanding outdoor work, rain or shine, and requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
While this posting outlines the main responsibilities of the FoH Manager role, our team members wear many hats, and responsibilities may shift over time. Flexibility, teamwork, and a shared love for good food and storytelling are essential.
