Company description
Triple Green Jade Farm is a small organic, diversified farm on 80 acres bordering the Boquet River in Willsboro. At the farm they bake sourdough breads with stone-milled local and organic whole grains in a wood-fired oven. They also use freshly milled whole grains to make various pasta.
They are a “grass-based” farm with pastured poultry, free range eggs, a few cows and some Mangalitsa pigs. Dan and Kimmy Rivera came to the Adirondacks for a sense of place among it’s wild protected, natural beauty with a mission of feeding their community with the foods they love.
Their entire customer base comes from less than 50 miles from the farm as they sell direct at the farm stores and farmers markets. At the farm they also hold events, like classes, workshops and farm to table dinners.
business description
I’m currently creating a farm succession plan for the 80 acre farm we steward in Willsboro.
I’m seeding ideas with the hope that allows future farmers to put down roots with farmland to own and a home to build.
If this could be you, please read on…
We're launching a farmer-owned cooperative project with the goal of establishing a thriving regenerative farm long after we are gone and we are looking for prospective member-owners to join us.
Put simply, we're looking for folks:
- who have a passion for feeding their community
- who want to live, work and play in the Adirondacks
- who want to engage in a sharing economy and reap the benefits that a cooperative offers.
The ideal members would be people who care about food sovereignty, that want to farm organically, produce good food with integrity and bring their unique skills together in a collaborative format, with individual home ownership in an eco-village setting, with full participation in the decision-making process and future of the collective.
This agricultural cooperative is about access to farmland, affordable housing opportunities and a shared business.
There is so much more we have posted on our site if you want to learn more and engage further.
