With a combined sales volume of $4m, the Syracuse Cooperative Market has been providing food for the community since 1974 at our Kensington Rd. location. In 2021, we opened our Salina location, inside the Salt City Market, a multivendor international food hall. Combined sales volume of $4m, the Co-op is looking for a Store Manager to continue to grow sales from their current $1.5m annual volume.
Job description
Responsibilities
· Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
· Maintain merchandising and product availability standards and a welcoming store atmosphere
· Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation of all store staff
· Maintain a clean and safe store environment that complies with health and safety regulations and Co-op standards
· Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
· Complete daily cash reconciliation and deposits.
· Work with Leadership team to grow sales in a multi-store environment
· Management of store-wide budget, including labor, sales, and margin
· Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability
Skills and Qualifications
· Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word/Excel)
· At least 3 years of retail food management experience.
· Familiarity with Profit and Loss and Budget management
· The ability to work independently and be self motivated
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
