Company description
Common Hands Farm, a biodynamic vegetable farm outside of Philmont NY, is a family owned farm, always working on building our community, through our farm crew, our CSA, our customers at the markets, our volunteer and donation programs. Community and food access are our two driving forces. This is our 14th year of production and we grow over 200 crop varieties and attend local farmers markets, have a CSA, and work with many restaurant and wholesale outlets. We always prefer hiring people with experience and/or passion for learning, but experience is not necessary. By working on our farm, new farmers can learn about vegetable production farming, soil and plant growth, holistic farm management, greenhouse skills, regenerative agriculture basics, and attend farmers markets. We also have a value-added food enterprise in which we make and sell sauces, ferments, dressings, and other tasty things with our crops to preserve our bounty.
Everything we grow is organically grown without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, etc. We make our own compost and are Certified Naturally Grown. We own 24 acres of land with a beautiful stream running through it.
