The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

Job Summary:
Entry-Level Cooks should anticipate working across all stations and using all kitchen equipment. Depending on the venue, you can anticipate working multiple stations that include batch production, high volume ala carte, prep, pantry, and banquets.

Requirements:

Prior kitchen experience as a Kitchen Utility, Cafeteria Worker, or any other experience in the culinary field

The Details:
Position Type: Full-time Year-round preferred, some Seasonal positions may be available.
Pay: $19.25 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up and breaking down production areas in accordance with kitchen sanitation standards ensuring that all wok areas are clean and organized.
• Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to recipes and standards.
• Properly stores and handles all food products and promote safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Ensure clean cooking area, utensils and equipment using established sanitation standards.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
• Maintains open and positive communications with all co-workers daily.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
