About the Role:
As we expand our NYC Flagship and look to move into other markets, The Event Planner position is the Meat and Potatoes of our Operation. After the Point of Sale, you will be the exclusive face of the Business until the Event Date. This position requires a sense of ownership, authority, kindness, patience, and above all…extreme attention to detail. This is an in-person position where you will work 5 days per week, however the hours and days of the week will vary.

Reports To : My Cooking Party Owners, the current Event Planner and the Director of Operations.

Event Planner Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Sending Final Details Reminders to Clients.
Compulsive Follow-Ups (as needed)
Client calls to go over Menus, Dietary Restrictions, Timeline, and Special Event Set-Up
Notating, Organizing and Sending Orders to BOH Staff.
Creating & Printing all Event Documents
Sending and Confirming Final Event Details with Event Staff, and Communicating Client Needs to Event Staff upon Arrival at Party.
Breaking Down Post-Event Folders, Filing Information, and Sending Recipes to Clients Post-Party.
Gift Wrapping MCP Products Available for Purchase
Communicating any Issues from Event to BOH Kitchen, Facilities Manager, Director of Operations & Owners.
Attending Events with Challenging Clients to Ensure Smooth Outcomes.
Space Viewings with Potential Clients
Covering Other Staff When Needed:
Answering Phones
Answering General Inquiries
Invoicing & Charging
Crisis Management
Reviewing Resumes
Staffing
Other related Duties as Needed.
Creating Shopping Lists
Custom Rental Event Planning and Oversight

Previous Administrative AND Hospitality Experience Highly Preferred.
New College Grads with Hospitality Degrees and Restaurant/Event Experience Highly Encouraged to Apply.

Important to Know:
Small Business with Limited Staff – Must Be Willing to Help Whenever Necessary and to work Flexible Hours.
This is not traditional event planning as most imagine. The same programs are executed almost every day, but for new clients with different goals, needs, menus, etc. You will not be choosing florals or designing tablescapes. The role is mostly administrative.
Our Day of Event Staff handle the client at events, but you will be asked to attend some events to ensure quality control, custom event set-up, rentals outside of the scope of our traditional programming, and to manage clients with special needs, goals, and visions.
This role will have a two week trial period before long term commitment by My Cooking Party
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
