Fort Lewis Lodge & Farm is a full-service inn located on a 3,300-acre historic farm in the mountains of Virginia. The inn offers 24 accommodations, three-miles of private onsite river frontage, hiking trails, and is also a working farm.
The restored 19th century Lewis Mill Restaurant serves family-style dinners and breakfasts daily. Menus change daily and always provide a plethora of options including grilled meats, freshly baked breads, and homemade desserts.
Fort Lewis is also a working farm. The pastureland is used for a grass fed cattle herd and fresh produce is grown on property to be used in our kitchen.

Job description
We are looking for a cook to work in our kitchen/restaurant for June and July with the potential for the position to extend into the fall. The position includes onsite housing in a small cottage beside the river. We need a cook to help prepare and serve breakfast and dinner for our guests. Professional training is not required, just a love for cooking! The position would be a great fit for a single person or potentially two people looking together.
Breakfast shift begins at 7:30am and dinner shift begins at 5:30pm. Each shift is around 3-4 hours. Position involves both food preparation and serving.
Due to our rural location, you must have your own transportation. The onsite, 2-bedroom cottage has it's own kitchen, laundry, bathroom, and living room space.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
