Company description
Casa De Miel is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting restorative horse-facilitated and nature-based experiences that foster pause, presence, and connection for people who are emotionally overwhelmed, overstretched, and overstimulated.
At Casa De Miel, connection is authentically coming together and engaging the people, the animals, and the environment around and within us. We do this with intention, compassion, inclusion, presence, mindfulness, and a willingness to hold space for whatever is present. Our nature-based programs provide a space for you or your group to learn about and connect with nature. These programs are made up of the various experiences we offer and provide restoration, a sense of community, and deeper connection with yourself and with others.
Our horse-facilitated experiences provide you an opportunity to engage, connect with, and learn from these wonderful creatures. We believe nature isn’t something that exists just to serve our needs, but that it’s our responsibility to care for and implement restorative practices to help ensure its flourishing. Our regenerative activities also include mentally restorative exercises and experiences for individuals. In doing regenerative work, we learn the values of patience, connection, and gratitude that we can carry with us in every aspect of our lives. Our regenerative garden teaches us the importance of naturally replenishing the earth as we reap food from it. This experience helps us grow in connection to earth but also to understand how to cultivate not just the earth but also our relationships with one another.
We welcome anyone who wants to bring their group or come volunteer! Some common types of groups that come to Casa De Miel include: community-based organizations, schools, youth organizations, businesses, families, faith-based organizations, residential treatment centers, and more.
