Job description
This position will work across all operations at the Boulder farm, with a specialization in animal husbandry, raw dairy production, and grazing management. The primary focus will be caring for our small and mighty dairy goat herd (average of 10-13 goats and 1 guardian llama). Our microdairy also serves as a space for educating all ages about animal husbandry, and the important role animals play in a regenerative agricultural system. This position will also support growing staff to maintain pastures, annual cover crops, and annual vegetable crops as well as supporting farm events, dairy volunteers and programming as needed.
Job Title: Farm Coordinator - Dairy Specialist
Job Status: Hourly, Year-Round. Part time in the winter, full time during growing season
Reports To: Herd Manager
Hours: Part time, November- March (26 hours/week) Full time, April- October (40+ hours per week) Regular weekend work is required
Pay: Starting salary is $38,500 - $42,200 for a .88 FTE position, this is based on $21-$23/hr

Qualifications/Special Requirements:
● 1 year experience working with livestock (goats preferred!)
● Milking experience is preferred
● Hours change seasonally and additional time may be required ● Regular weekend and evening work is required
● Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round
● Ability to work on uneven terrain in the field
● Must be able to engage in physically active work every day and lift 75lbs
● Must be able to successfully manage multiple, high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
● Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation between site and partner organizations
● Must have a cell phone
● Must submit to a fingerprint background check
