Job description

This position involves milking our herd of Jersey cows in an open-air dairy barn 5 days per week in the morning (days start at 7:30 am - not too early!!). Afternoons are spent in the cheese room either helping with cheesemaking or doing "cheese chores". Some outside projects such as fencing work, moving cattle, and maintenance of both equipment and pastures will also fill some afternoons.

This is a seasonal position starting immediately and running through mid-November however some other opportunities for winter work may be present on the Ranch.

An eye toward cleanliness and sanitation is a must. Some livestock experience is preferred. No cheesemaking experience necessary. Please reach out if varied, hands-on work with food and animals is of interest!

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
