At Bookhouse Catering, we specialize in crafting unforgettable events and providing exceptional bar catering to our clients. We are part of Foreland, an 85,000SF campus of artists, craftsmen, and commercial tenants in a historic waterfront mill in downtown Catskill, New York.

We pride ourselves on offering top-tier service, and we are currently seeking bartenders to join our seasonal bar team! As a bartender for Bookhouse Catering at Foreland, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent service at various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. You will be working alongside third-party food catering teams to ensure a smooth and professional bar experience from start to finish.

Job description

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area during events.
• Adhere to all legal and safety regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Engage with guests and vendors in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
• Work with the bar team to support the overall event, including assisting with setup and break-down as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure the bar area is stocked and organized.

Requirements:

• Proven bartending experience (wedding/event experience is a plus).
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• TIPS or similar alcohol service certification preferred.
• Must be available for shifts from June to November (flexible, but must be available for a majority of events).

Compensation:

• $350 per shift
• Tips are not required by clients but are appreciated, and split amongst the bar staff of bartenders, barbacks, and porters.
• Ongoing opportunities to work throughout the season (June - November).
