Job description
The Paris Café is reopening its doors, and with it comes the rare opportunity to be part of a historic relaunch. First established in 1873, our restaurant has welcomed presidents, poets, and performers. Today, we're honoring that legacy with a bold new vision that blends local ingredients, classic technique, and a kitchen culture rooted in pride and purpose.
We’re looking for line cooks who see the kitchen as a craft and care about doing things right. Whether you’re working hot line or garde manger, your role will be vital to bringing this iconic space back to life. This is a place for cooks who move with focus, communicate with care, and stay composed in the heat of dinner service.

What a Day Looks Like:
• Arrive pre-shift, review prep and station notes, and set yourself up for success
• Work through service efficiently, with a sharp eye and calm energy
• Communicate clearly on the line, especially during high-volume moments
• Support your team with breakdown, closing, and restock
• Contribute feedback to improve flow, quality, and consistency
Responsibilities:
• Execute dishes accurately and consistently during dinner service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepped station
• Follow prep lists, batch recipes, and chef direction with precision
• Work in sync with the rest of the team for smooth service
• Uphold kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols
• Take pride in your station and your contribution to the team
• Assist in training or mentoring if asked
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience
• Strong knife skills and basic cooking technique
• Dinner service availability required
• Must be available on weekends
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a high-volume kitchen
• Clear communication and ability to follow direction
• A professional attitude and a respect for structure
• Eligibility to work in the United States
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience in high-volume, upscale casual, or brasserie-style kitchens
• Familiarity with both hot line and garde manger stations
• A sense of urgency without sacrificing quality
• A natural curiosity and hunger to improve
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $23.00
