Join the UVM Dining Marketing Team – Tell the Story of Campus Dining Through Social Media
Are you passionate about creating content that educates, engages, and connects people? Do you love capturing behind-the-scenes moments and bringing energy to events? Join the collaborative and creative team at UVM Dining Services at the University of Vermont, where every team member helps bring our programs, services, and student experiences to life.
We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator who is:
Social media savvy and fluent in Instagram and Facebook trends
A confident communicator who thrives in a student-centered environment
Skilled with an iPhone and knows how to capture and edit compelling short-form video and photo content
Ready to roll up their sleeves, get into our kitchens, and work side-by-side with our Dining Ambassador team to engage directly with students, staff, and faculty
This is a 100% in-person role based at UVM’s Burlington campus — not hybrid or remote. You’ll be on the ground, in the dining halls, and at events, helping bring our story to life.
What You’ll Do
Lead our social media storytelling by developing and managing a content calendar focused on Instagram and Facebook
Capture, edit, and post high-quality iPhone videos and photos that highlight dining events, team moments, menus, and educational initiatives
Create content that educates and involves the UVM community — from sustainability efforts to student spotlights
Support and energize campus events by planning, promoting, and attending activations — not waiting for people to come to you, but actively engaging with them
Collaborate with the marketing team to design print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Suite
Keep our dining spaces fresh by updating flyers, posters, table tents, and digital screens
Use Microsoft tools like Planner, To Do, and Office files to manage projects, track progress, and stay organized
Meet regularly with the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager to set goals and grow professionally
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience managing social media accounts, especially Instagram
Strong iPhone video and photo skills (filming, editing, posting)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other marketing tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, student-centered environment

Work Details
Location: University of Vermont, Burlington, VT (in-person only)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay: $22–$28/hr, based on experience
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
