1) Capital: Affordable, flexible farm financing with no fees or credit scores, including 0% interest for many low-income operations.
2) Business Support: Zero-cost, high-touch services to help farmers understand their finances, plan for growth, successfully apply for financing, and sustainably manage debt.

Job description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Foodshed Capital is seeking a Director of Visual Storytelling to take the lead on all visual and multimedia content that brings our mission and the farmers we serve to life. This role will lead short-form video production, photography, and visual storytelling efforts, helping us reach new audiences, deepen funder engagement, and shape a more vibrant, visible public identity for our work in regenerative food and finance. This role involves regular travel to farms and events for field-based content creation.
We’re looking for a hands-on, mission-driven content producer with strong visual storytelling instincts who’s comfortable behind a camera and in the field. The ideal candidate can follow clear creative direction while taking initiative in field-based settings and managing the production process from concept to completion. Familiarity with small-scale agriculture is a plus but not required.
You’ll create and manage visual content for donor campaigns, social media (reels, stories, and posts), our website, and events, ensuring our visual identity remains clear and consistent across platforms. You’ll maintain an organized media library and support light graphic design needs (e.g. presentation decks, swag, or one-pagers). Experience with drone footage is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate shoot logistics with farmer clients and ensure ethical, informed content creation
- Conduct site visits to document farmer stories, practices, and impacts in a respectful, context-aware way (travel estimated 1-3 times per month)
- Collaborate with Chief Development Officer to provide visual content for our monthly newsletter
- Build and maintain an organized media library, archiving content systematically for easy retrieval and long-term use
Brand & Story Development
- Collaborate closely with other staff to stay informed about our borrower portfolio and applicant pipeline, identifying storytelling opportunities that align visual strategy with communications and fundraising goals
- Translate complex, systems-level work into compelling visual narratives for a range of audiences, including funders, farmers, peers, and the general public
- Maintain a consistent visual voice and tone aligned with Foodshed Capital’s mission and brand
