Job description
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a warm and attentive Front Counter Staff Member to join our opening team. This is a key guest-facing role that includes taking orders, serving pre-made pastries and sandwiches, pouring drip coffee, handling the register, and maintaining the flow of the front of house. You’ll be part of creating a welcoming and efficient service experience from the moment guests walk in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Take orders accurately using our POS system and handle payment transactions
- Serve ready-to-eat pastries, sandwiches, and drip coffee
- Answer basic questions about the menu and daily offerings
- Keep the front counter, pastry case, and beverage station clean and stocked
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
- Coordinate with the kitchen and barista teams to ensure smooth service
- Support a positive, team-oriented atmosphere on the floor
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or food service preferred
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
- Basic food handling knowledge a plus (training provided if needed)
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Open to full and part time schedules, "school day" shifts available for parents and caretakers

Compensation
