Job description
Casa Susanna is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic line cook with a passion for food, a strong work ethic and ability to work in a team focused environment. We are a modern Mexican restaurant in the Catskills located at the new hotel from the same people who run Rivertown Lodge in Hudson called, Camptown.
Our chef has been nominated for a James Beard Award for the best chef: New York State category for two years running in 2024 and 2025. As well as named Esquire Magazine’s rising star chef of the year in 2024. The restaurant was also named to Esquire’s best new restaurants in America list. This is a great opportunity to work and learn in an environment that values mentorship.
Our eclectic menu changes with the seasons and locally sourced ingredients from the many neighboring farms here in the Hudson Valley. With a focus on a strong masa program (all masa nixtamalized and ground in house) and cooking with wood fire, we will give every cook the opportunity to learn and/or hone different culinary techniques.
We keep a positive, professional environment and are willing to train the right candidate, no previous kitchen experience is necessary.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
