The Chester County Food Bank seeks to create a food secure Chester County. We mobilize and educate our community to ensure equitable access to nutritious and familiar food. Chester County Food Bank (CCFB) is a county wide, non-profit organization located in Exton, PA and has been in existence since 2009. CCFB works with over 100 community partners to distribute over 6 million pounds of food annually to Chester County residents. We provide educational opportunities through programs to engage the community in hands-on learning experiences. Our ag and garden team operates two farm sites including a greenhouse for seedling propagation, a high tunnel for season extension, and an education garden.
Job description
As part of the Community Food Access and Education team, the Food Access Field Associate works with Farm and Garden sites throughout Chester County to empower, engage and educate underserved communities experiencing food insecurity. This position involves supporting all food access and education initiatives including- but not limited to community/volunteer outreach, field and garden production and food distributions. This position collaborates regularly with other CCFB operations team members.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $19.00 - $21.00
