Job description
JOB SUMMARY | As the Food and Beverage Retail Sales Coordinator, your mission is to lead the dynamic day-to-day, online operations of La Cocina’s sales programs and e-commerce platforms, driving revenue growth across our catering, retail, and event programs. You’ll bring creative energy to new initiatives, implement bold marketing strategies, and build strategic partnerships that expand our customer base locally and globally. You’ll play a key role in increasing online sales and delivering strong, successful business outcomes for our community of food entrepreneurs.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THE F&B SALES COORDINATOR ROLE AT LA COCINA
DRIVE SALES
- Achieve or exceed quarterly sales goals for online catering, retail, and event revenue programs.
- Oversee all aspects of each online point of sales system. and its compliance.
- Implement strategic and creative tactics to drive revenue growth, cultivate customers, and enhance brand visibility, ultimately converting leads into sales.
- Increase profitability and customer satisfaction by creating industry-specific seasonal campaigns, cross promoting, and upselling service and product offerings.
- Manage stages of customer order fulfillment, coordinating across businesses, contractors, and third party partners.
- Maintain organized processes and a planning calendar to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of campaigns, business onboarding, and inventory management.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Manage accurate and timely accounting and payment processing.
- Monitor sales performance and industry trends to inform sales strategies.
- Maintain customer database in Salesforce for targeted communication and engagement.
ONLINE CATERING COORDINATION
- Manage Bbot and Toast catering accounts and their legal compliance.
- Oversee the business’ service operations of the online catering platform.
- Grow our catering business roster to diversify our offerings, leading the onboarding of new entrepreneurs into the catering systems, verifying eligibility, upkeeping caterer agreements, and implementing menus, pricing, and content.
- Coordinate and oversee the online implementation of new La Cocina sales campaigns and event ticketing.
RETAIL COORDINATION
- Manage La Cocina’s Shopify account and its legal compliance.
- Oversee our order fulfillment partner, shipping, inventory, and quality control.
- Manage and order inventory for gift boxes, e-gift cards, cookbooks, and merchandise, while maintaining waste control procedures for online retail and wholesale accounts.
- Execute year-round sales and promote holiday bulk ordering of retail products, corporate large-volume orders, and fulfill custom requests such as personalized notes, local assembly, and deliveries.
BE A STRATEGIC PARTNER
- Collaborate closely with the sales and program teams to ensure business readiness, streamline launches of new online products and businesses, and distribute opportunities equitably.
- Collaborate with the communications team to design and publish marketing campaigns, coordinating content and distribution.
- Maintain up-to-date information on F&B offerings, including digital and print marketing materials, such as targeted pitch decks, packets, website and platform content, and tailored messaging.
ECOSYSTEM BUILDING
- Forge strategic relationships to expand sales opportunities within the community and industry for partner cultivation and engagement, including attending tabling and industry events.
CENTERING ENTREPRENEURS
- Dedicate 5% of your time (about 100 hours annually) to supporting La Cocina participants through technical assistance, engagement at business events, and assistance during key events. This differs for each staff member at La Cocina and is based on your role and skills.
Additional duties may be assigned, such as supporting the sales team and cross team sales initiatives.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $69,000.00 - $78,000.00
