Job description

Role Summary

As a barista, you will provide top-quality hospitality services for guests that contribute to an overall exceptional experience from arrival through departure and complete audits, as required. A barista contributes to the impressions of our guests and, therefore, must perform tasks to the highest standards.

The Specifics

-Provide coffee, beverages, and food service to guests in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
-Take drink and food orders from guests accurately and with a warm and welcoming attitude.
-Demonstrate knowledge of coffee blends, brewing methods, and food offerings, and provide thoughtful suggestions to guests.
-Ensure guests are satisfied with their orders and address any concerns or special requests promptly.
-Process payments and checks with Toast efficiently and accurately.
-Perform daily responsibilities, including opening, closing, restocking, and cleaning duties.
-Clean spills, used equipment, and work areas in a timely manner to maintain a clean and safe environment.
-Stay organized and communicate effectively with both guests and other team members.
-Report any unresolved issues or equipment malfunctions to management in a timely manner.
-Assist with food and beverage preparation when needed.
The ability to lift heavy objects over 45lbs (e.g., boxes of supplies, milk crates).
-Adhere accurately to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
-Adapt to guests’ needs and find ways to enhance their café experience.
-Assist other departments or team members, as necessary.
-Assist guests with questions about menu items, ingredients, and café offerings in an informative and helpful way.
-Must have an upbeat and positive attitude.
