Gold Ridge Organic Farms is located 50 miles northwest of San Francisco in the rolling hills of Sebastopol in Sonoma County, California. We farm 88 acres of organic apples, olives, and citrus. Our 70-acre olive orchard has approximately 13,000 trees and includes a diverse selection of Italian, Spanish, and French cultivars. All of our award-winning estate-grown olive oils are milled and pressed on-site within hours of harvest for the highest medicinal quality, maximum freshness, and best flavors. The resulting oils are fresh, delicious, and high in antioxidants.

Sixteen acres of apple varieties, including Honeycrisp, Fuji, and Pink Pearl, dot the rolling hills of the farm, interspersed with an array ofover 70 varieties of beloved Heirloom apples. Our commitment to preserving antique apple varieties serves as a treasured link to the past and ensures their enjoyment by future generations.

Gold Ridge Organic Farms is committed to organic farming and promoting healthy farm-to-table foods. Our olives, apples, and citrus are Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth (OTCO). The mill is Certified Organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). The certification process holds us accountable to the highest standards.

Our Gold Ridge Olive Oils achieve Extra Virgin status annually through the certification process by the California Olive Oil Council (COOC). The COOC assures the quality of real California Extra Virgin Olive Oil, through rigorous lab analysis and sensory testing by a panel of experts each harvest season.

Job description

Gold Ridge Organic Farms is seeking a Farm Sales & Hospitality Associate for our Farm Shop to execute on & offsite EVOO and value-added farm product tastings, driving sales & membership. You will interface with farm visitors and tasting guests, conduct sales transactions, and provide general event and administrative support to the team as needed. Serving as the brand representative and first contact to assist guests, the Hospitality Associate will offer a warm welcome to our farm. Ability to engage with the public with ease and proactively engaging guests in a friendly, educational manner is essential to this role. A keen interest in or experience with organic food, farming, and the culinary arts is desired.

BA desired in sales/marketing/business or similar or equivalent relevant experience. 1-2 years in sales/marketing/events/customer service required.

Position is estimated to be 10-20 hours per week. Starting pay DOE. Occasional tips. Other potential opportunities for increased hours, based on seasonality and business needs.

This is a part-time, non-benefitted role. Generous discounts on farm and shop goods.
