Wayside Cider is a cidery and taproom in Delaware County, NY. We make small-batch cider, primarily from wild and feral apples, and operate a year-round taproom that also serves other New York State beverages and a variety of house-made foods. Our team is small but passionate about local food and drink.
Job description
Wayside Cider looking for a motivated and detail oriented person to join our kitchen team. The responsibilities include prepping for service, receiving deliveries, service set up, cooking and plating during service, expediting, consolidating, breaking down and interacting directly with customers. Additional responsibilities include general kitchen work like cleaning, organizing, restocking, communicating with our chef, events manager and bartenders.
We are open from Thursday - Sunday and are looking for someone who can commit to 3 - 4
shifts a week/weekend. All kitchen positions receive a percentage of the day’s tips on top of their hourly wages. Hourly wage starts at $18+ (depending on experience)
Previous experience in a kitchen or food business is a plus. Comfort with kitchen equipment and knife skills as well as an understanding of basic cooking techniques and food
safety standards are required.
We can provide temporary housing for someone willing to relocate.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $25.00
