Job description

Ferndale Market is looking for a collaborative, strong communicator, with good customer service instincts to join our team as Retail & Marketing Coordinator. The role will support work across our on-farm market, ecommerce, and marketing, with dedicated responsibilities in all areas, and will report to our Retail Manager.

Chosen candidate will have a passion for local foods and be able to balance a diverse workload and collaborate across teams. Experience in retail, customer service and marketing/communications is preferred, but a willingness to learn and be a team player is key. Ferndale Market is a growing and dynamic business and we are excited to find the right person to grow with us.

Specific responsibilities of the Retail & Marketing Coordinator include:

• Retail product ordering & inventory management
• Drafting newsletters & other brand copy
• Planning social media content
• Assisting in fulfillment of ecommerce orders
• Updating website (Wordpress, WooCommerce)
• Managing inventory for retail supplies and marketing materials
• Internal management of special orders
• Event coordination
• Customer service assistance answering phones/emails
• On-site product sampling demos for wholesale customers

This is an hourly position, 30-40 hours/week, in-office in Cannon Falls, MN, with competitive health insurance & retirement benefits.

Because of the retail nature of our work, the chosen individual will be cross trained to work occasional market retail shifts as needed.

This position is ideal for someone with 3+ years of work experience.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
