Hampden’s favorite Wine, Beer, Spirits, and Specialty Food store The Wine Source is looking for a Cheesemonger to join our team!
We are searching for outgoing and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about food and looking to grow their knowledge and share it with our customers. Learn about and taste our selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, chocolates, and more while working in an energetic and fast-paced environment in the center of the neighborhood.
Position Basics:
-Part-time is between 18-28 hours (we are flexible so amount of hours is up to you)
-Starting pay is $20.00/hour
-Opportunities for full-time in the future
Main duties of the job:
-Customer Service (answering questions, slicing meat and cheese to order, operating a cash register as necessary)
-Receiving orders (which includes prepping items for sale, stocking/merchandising items, storing/organizing items in appropriate storages areas)
-Stocking/maintaining shelves & displays, rotating stock and maintaining quality/care of cheese and meat
-Maintaining clean & sanitary work surfaces and tools
-Building catering platters
Hours/Shifts:
-Shifts are typically 8-4, 11-7 or 1-9 (12-8 on Sundays)
-Most employees work 2 of 3 weekend days (typically either Friday and Saturday or Friday and Sunday)
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
