Company description
Copper Moose Farm is a 3-acre diversified vegetable and cut flower farm serving the Park City, UT community since 2007. We grow all of our produce and flowers using only the best organic practices and biodynamic techniques. We have one greenhouse, two high tunnels, a small flock of chickens, and open-field production. Using cover crops, crop rotation, occultation, season extension, and careful seed selection, we grow produce year-round at 7,000 ft.
Job description
We are looking for an energetic Farm Manager who is vested in playing a vital role in the Park City community. The Farm Manager will be responsible for implementing all aspects of the 100 member vegetable CSA share and 35 member flower share including:
- annual crop plans
- seed orders
- marketing
- soil health, crop rotation, pest/weed management
- managing 3 indoor growing spaces
- irrigation
- training and supervising staff
- care for small flock of chickens
- coordinate harvests
- maintain strong customer relationships and communication
- coordinating weekly harvests and distribution of vegetable and flower shares
- ensuring quality control
- developing and managing the farm budget
- delegate daily tasks
We are looking for someone with 3 years of hands-on experience in diversified vegetable and cut flower production, who has a strong knowledge of organic/sustainable farming practices, and a passion for direct-to-consumer market models.
Compensation includes $65,000-$80,000 salary (DOE), onsite housing, health care package, and a 401K match.
