Tucker&Co. Bakery Cafe is a small batch from scratch, gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free bakery cafe located in downtown Dillsburg, Pa. We believe everyone deserves food that is both delicious and nutritious.
Our "brunch all day" menu features well loved standards and seasonal items. Our bakery case is filled with a rotating variety gluten free baked goodness. We have a full coffee bar menu as well, and make all our coffee syrups in house. We use directly sourced, locally roasted coffee beans.
We are focused on sourcing as many of our ingredients from local growers and producers as possible as we believe this makes for the most delicious, nutritious, and sustainable food. We even grow some of our own seasonal ingredients in our backyard garden! We are always looking to operate in the most sustainable ways possible for us.
Our bakery started in 2012 selling at local farmers markets and events so we are very connected with many local food producers. We also still attend local farmers markets and events with our food truck. We also have a granola brand "Tucker&Co;. Granola" that we produce in-house and then wholesale to other regional retail partners. We are a small business focused on growing to provide even more folks with delicious and nutritious food options, especially those with the specific dietary needs of being gluten free, dairy free, or refined sugar free. At our cafe we hope folks come to relax, feel inspired, and enjoy. And we hope they leave feeling nourished and well cared for.
Job description
About the role:
We are looking for a Gluten Free Baker - Weekend Supervisor to join our team! This person would work Wednesday - Sunday, 6am to 2pm managing our weekend crew. We need someone who has a passion for food, drinks, and hospitality, and has the culinary skills to back it up (this is just to say we need someone who isn't in high school and brings some baking/kitchen experience to the table).
Someone with an interest in mentoring our high school and college aged team members into becoming thriving hospitality workers.
We specialize in gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free baking and are looking for an individual with experience in gluten free baking and/or a strong interest in becoming an expert in this. This position will also be in charge of making sure our granola production is completed for our wholesale customers.
Our team is small but mighty with a focus on being inclusive, knowledgeable, and always pursuing our best work.
The ideal candidate:

Typical Day will be spent: baking, prepping ingredient components, making menu items as ordered by customers, tracking kitchen inventory, ordering inventory, directing and supervising cafe team members to insure every customer receives good service and properly made food and drinks, doing dishes, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
Dress Code:
No uniform required. Work place appropriate attire. Standard kitchen safe shoes, hair pulled back with a hat or extra wide head band.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage. Health benefits.
Note on compensation structure. Our cafe does not collect tips. We add a service fee on made-to-order items that we use to help cover overhead costs, including higher hourly wages for all our employees. Your hourly wage is your only income -- There is no tip splitting.
