Our menu features a full lineup of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, house-made schmears, a small selection of baked sweets, game-day pretzels for the Philly faithful, and a robust coffee and espresso program built to rival any shop in the region. Catering is coming soon as well.

Job description
Position Overview
The General Manager is the operational heartbeat of Street Cart Bagels, responsible for leading all aspects of daily store operations — from team management and product execution
to customer experience and community engagement. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role that balances hospitality, precision, and hustle.
As part of the opening leadership team, the GM will help establish the systems, culture, and standards that will define our future growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily café operations, including open/close, cash management, and scheduling.
• Hire, train, and lead a strong, motivated team aligned with our brand values.
• Maintain consistency across bagel production, coffee, and kitchen service standards.
• Manage financial performance: labor costs, inventory, and daily reporting.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Cultivate a warm, fast-paced, and team-driven culture that reflects our mission.
• Collaborate with ownership to grow the business, including catering and off-site partnerships.
• Drive local engagement through events, collaborations, and community visibility.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of management experience in fast-casual, bakery, or café settings.
• Deep understanding of both front- and back-of-house operations.
• Proven success in leadership, training, and building team culture.
• Strong grasp of financial controls and P&L; management.
• Food Safety Certification preferred.
• Passion for community-based food culture, quality, and storytelling.
Compensation & Growth
• Starting Salary Range of $75k-$80k, with Performance-based bonuses after 6 months.
• Growth potential into multi-unit or operations director roles as the brand scales.
• Paid time off accrual, staff meals, and eventual access to health benefits as the
company grows.
