Kismet Rotisserie is a fast-casual restaurant with 4 locations and is part of the Kismet restaurant group, based in Los Angeles. Our menu focuses on rotisserie chicken, crispy potatoes and vegetable sides, as well as sandwiches, salads, and sweets. It is healthy, comforting and ultra-fresh everyday food, fully made from scratch in-house daily. We source as much as possible from local farms and do our best to incorporate sustainability into our practices, while also maintaining affordability for our customers and creating a positive work environment for our employees.
We are a high volume restaurant, doing a significant amount of take out and catering and we take our approach to quality and integrity very seriously.
Job description
Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities
- Prep, set up, execute and break down station
- Prep, plate, and serve all menu items correctly
- Read kitchen tickets correctly, and execute accordingly
- Communicate clearly with Expo position and/or management
- Communicate clearly about ordering, running low on items, and 86’s
- Properly label all mise en place
- Follow FIFO procedure
- Execute recipes accurately and efficiently
- Quality-control on all items, with an emphasis on food safety
- Maintain cleanliness of station, walk-in, prep/dish and common areas
- Be familiar with DOH protocol, and execute it accordingly
- Be aware of (if not cross-trained) coworkers’ roles, and help out when needed
- Be open to cross-training on all positions
Be respectful of the space and your coworkers
- Maintain positive, team-oriented mentality
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- One year of similar restaurant experience required.
- Must be able to multitask and problem solve with a smile.
- Must be quick on your feet and a fast learner, without cutting corners.
- Must be professional and courteous toward fellow employees and customers.
- Must have a positive attitude and demeanor.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be willing to be cross-trained in other roles in order to lend a hand where needed.
- Experience working FOH is a plus.
Computer Operations Abilities
- Basic telephone application skills
- Basic personal computer skills including email, slack application, etc
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 8 hours, leaning over and lifting bins
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $16.50 - 20/hr
