North Haven Inn & Market — North Haven, Maine
Year-Round / Full-Time - 9 month contract for winters off
Compensation: Salaried + Affordable On-Site Housing

About Us
North Haven Inn & Market is a small, year-round hospitality business on a remote island off the coast of Maine. We operate a 7-room inn, local market, and seasonal diner. Our mission is to offer a welcoming space for guests while staying grounded in the rhythm of island life.
About the Role
This is a live-on-site, full-time role best suited for an independent, detail-oriented person who takes pride in clean, organized spaces and enjoys connecting with guests and neighbors alike. You’ll be responsible for the daily operation of the inn, with a strong focus on housekeeping and keeping things running smoothly.
This position offers a balanced lifestyle—no late nights, consistent expectations, and time to settle into life in a small community. In the off-season, flexibility is key: you may support the kitchen, market, or help with small projects and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Room turnovers, deep cleans, and daily laundry
- Maintain clean and welcoming common spaces
- Friendly communication with guests (email, phone, text, and in person)
- Occasionally assist guests with luggage or rides to/from ferry
- Support kitchen, market, or events in off-season
- Manage inventory and organization
- Take ownership of priorities and schedule time off responsibly
Requirements
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and ability to help with light transport
- Able to lift/move supplies and handle stairs
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Kind, reliable, and community-oriented
- Comfortable living in a quiet, remote island setting
- No pets (due to inn policies)

Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
