Job description
Retaaza Rx Market Operator
Reports to: Community Access Manager
Department: Retaaza Rx
Classification: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week; set schedule; W2)
Salary Range: $18-20 per hour (plus PTO, paid sick leave, and 401k)
We are looking for team members to staff and operate our Atlanta-area Farm Fresh Markets throughout the city. We work with local farmers to create a pipeline of fresh, healthy food straight from the farm and into the hands of food-insecure individuals and families.
Our warehouse is on the westside of Atlanta, and we operate numerous markets around the metro area, including the MARTA Markets, Dekalb County Mobile Market, and Atlanta Farm Fresh Markets. Market days occur during the week with most shifts being around seven hours. Shifts follow a standard weekly schedule. Some weekend markets may occur on occasion but are the exception and not the rule. A typical market day would involve working as a team to stock the van with inventory, drive to the market site, set up the market on site, check out shoppers on our point of sale (POS) system, instill a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the market, close down the market by driving inventory back to the warehouse, closing out the register and inventory, etc.
Weekly Schedule
Retaaza operates markets Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend markets. Market shifts, including set-up and breakdown at the warehouse, typically run 6–9 hours per day in the afternoon and evening, including travel time to and from the warehouse. The Market Operator’s schedule will depend on the specific market(s) they are assigned, based on both company needs and employee availability. Weekly hours generally range from 15–20 on a set schedule but could be as high as 30 hours variably or on a set schedule. Most operators work 2–4 market shifts per week.
