Job description
We’re hiring an experienced plant leader to own end-to-end food manufacturing production and facility operations in an FDA-regulated environment. This person will be accountable for food safety systems, compliance and audit readiness, production and order fulfillment performance, and building the team/processes required to scale reliably.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily production across manufacturing processes: planning, execution, staffing, line performance.
- Own food safety and compliance programs: GMPs, sanitation, allergen controls, FSMA/Preventive Controls, documentation.
- Maintain audit-ready records: batch records, temp logs, training, deviations, CAPA, calibration, hold/release.
- Implement operating cadence and KPIs; drive yield, waste reduction, throughput, and cost control.
- Train and develop teams; establish a disciplined, positive, accountable plant culture.
- Partner with leadership on capacity planning, equipment needs, and scale roadmap.
- Manage vendors and suppliers tied to production inputs, packaging, and sanitation, profitability
Requirements
- 5-7+ years in FDA-regulated food manufacturing; 3–5+ years in plant/production leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of FSMA Preventive Controls and GMPs; PCQI certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success maintaining audit-ready operations and building/owning SOP-based systems.
- Hands-on leader comfortable in a fast-moving, small-to-mid sized plant environment.
Preferred;
Experience with hot-fill / coldfill thermal processing and/or acidified foods (or comparable high-control processes).
SQF/BRC exposure; co-manufacturing relationships; new SKU launches at scale.

Within 90 days, we have technology-driven systems, documented processes, confident teams, stable output, measurable KPIs, and an operation that is consistently audit-ready managed consistently, effectively and successfully by this key position.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $75,000 - $100,000
