Wash/Pack Leader and Flower Assistant
Green Tractor Farm – La Cienega, NM

Green Tractor Farm, a diversified, certified organic family farm in La Cienega, is seeking a Wash/Pack Leader and Flower assistant to support our cut-flower program and vegetable production. This position works independently and with the farm owners to ensure high-quality production, efficient workflows, and beautiful products for market and other customers. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Wash/Pack (Monday and Friday)

· Lead the washing, sorting, and packing of produce for markets and accounts. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the wash/pack area

Flower Production (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

· Assist with seeding, transplanting, bed prep, weeding, trellising, and general flower-field maintenance

· Support harvest operations, including quality assessment, bunching, and post-harvest care

Field Work (as needed)

· Participate in general farm field tasks as needed (vegetable support, greenhouse work, irrigation, etc.)

· Operate basic farm tools and equipment safely

Qualifications

· Previous farm or horticulture experience preferred but not required

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Comfortable with fast-paced, physical work (lifting up to ~40 lbs, standing for long periods)

· Strong communication skills and reliability

Schedule & Compensation

· Full-season position (start date March 1 but flexible)

· Weekly hours vary with season; generally 40 hours in summer, 30 hours in winter.

· Pay $18/hour. Farm perks include produce and flowers

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
