Job description
Position: Seasonal Beekeeper Assistant
Reports to: Apiary Manager
Compensation: $20 per hour
Benefits: Housing available (no pets), PTO
Schedule: March 2nd - November 25, 5 days per week, 40 - 50 hours per week
About the position:
Assist our apiary manager in all aspects of a start up large scale apiary including getting equipment ready, tending to hives and processing honey.
Requirements
Comfortable working with bees
Lifting at least 50 lbs
Able to work in all weather conditions
Demonstrate record keeping ability
Responsibilities
Working with our team to execute daily tasks including:
Drive a pick up truck
Work with beekeeping tools such as smokers and lifting supers
Support record keeping
Repair, maintenance and cleaning of bee equipment
Contribute to a safe and orderly working environment
Skills
