Job description
14 Weeks: Early Jun26 to Labor Day26. The Ideal applicant might be on an Academic Calendar looking for a recurring Summer job, or a Semi-retired chef looking for a lower stress seasonal job in a quiet beautiful location. Housing is provided for the Chef plus potential spouse. The Seasonal Chef is responsible for budgeting, planning, kitchen management, ordering, preparing food and leading the wait staff (local returning/experienced high school students). The chef manages food cost and quality while preparing 5 dinners (family style, 1 entree plus sides) and 2 breakfasts (buffet and to order)/wk ... for 20-60 patrons per meal. The menu is chosen by the chef (with some input), but expected to be a rotating variety of "restaurant quality" healthy and nutritious foods prepared from scratch. Local produce encouraged... so there is some "shopping" required at local farm stands and markets.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
