Job description
The Party Chef is responsible for following all off-premise catering standard operating procedures regarding production, safety, and cleanliness.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Cooperate and work together with all coworkers
• Maintain a clean an organized workstation
• Maintain a friendly, helpful, and positive attitude
• Self-motivation around planning and setting deadlines and completing duties
• Meet the standards of the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) food code
• Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies
• Attendance at company meetings and trainings whenever required
• Uphold standards of competency
• Follow all recipes and standard operating procedures
• Posses excellent knife skills and proficiency in all kitchen tools and machines: Strainer, blender, Vitamix, Kitchen Aid, Robot Coupe, Hobart etc.

Essential Functions:
• The ability to speak, understand, read, and write in English
• The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
• The ability to understand basic math
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team
• The ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
• The ability to bend, stoop, stand, and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
• Proficient in kitchen tool use
• Organized approach to projects
• Able to take and give direction
• Able to inspire others to be creative and work hard; a morale builder
• Adaptable in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Flexible to work long hours as needed
Experience / Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience in a cooking role
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency is database systems and team production
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $35.00 - $50.00
