We take pride in creating beautiful coffees, preparing to-go food highlighting locally sourced ingredients, and stocking a highly curated pantry full of unique, elevated provisions. This season we are also opening a restaurant/event space down the street called Good Wolf.
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Sous Chef to join Good Wolf at The Salt Market for the summer season, from May through August. The Sous Chef will assist the Lead Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, support menu development, and uphold our high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. The ideal candidate will embody our values of kindness, professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail while contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or Line Cook in upscale or fine dining restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of hyper-seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine and resourcefulness in sourcing ingredients.
- Demonstrated ability to work kitchen team, within a kitchen team. Good organizational and communication skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food presentation—believing that food should be as beautiful as it is delicious.
- Able to take direction well and work efficiently under pressure.
Flexible, resilient, and proactive in supporting operational needs.
- Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative environment rooted in kindness and professionalism.
- Availability from May through August.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
